The St. Albert Senior Citizens' Club is an organization of senior citizens committed to the support of, and fellowship with, seniors in our community and surrounding areas.

St. Albert Transit provides two forms of public transportation, Regular Transit service and the specialized Handibus service

  1. Handibus Service ~ www.stalbert.ca/handibus-service
    • For any resident of the City of St. Albert unable to use the regular transit buses due to a physical or mental disability
    • Must register with St. Albert Transit, call 780-418-6060 to request form
    • Forms also on the website
    • A medical practitioner must complete the form and mail or fax this in to St. Albert Transit
    • Available anywhere in St. Albert on weekdays from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
    • To/from Edmonton only for the purposes of work or education during weekday peak hours (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m.)
  2.  Regular Transit buses:
    • Are Low Floor buses that do not have steps
    • Low floor buses can ‘kneel’ to curb level for easier access. Let the driver know if you need the bus to kneel
    • There are also 3 Lift Equipped articulated buses
      • Lift Equipped buses have a lift for people in wheelchairs, scooters or with mobility restrictions
    • On Low Floor and Lift Equipped buses there are two locations where wheelchairs or scooters can be secured. The seats in these areas flip up and have equipment to secure wheelchair or scooter
    • Annual bus passes for seniors available

Regular Transit service operates seven days a week from early morning until late evening, excluding statutory holidays.
