
Norma Christiansen, Director
Norma was born in Alberta and raised on a farm in central Alberta. For the first five years of school she rode a horse three miles there and back each day. She attended Red Deer Composite High School which, at that time, was the old army barracks converted into classrooms and dormitories.
After college, Norma worked at Imperial Oil Limited and then Esso Resources Canada Limited in the accounting departments. Her last years were spent as supervisor, revenue accounting for the Judy Creek Gas Plants. Norma retired in 1991 after 27 years of service.
Norma and her late husband, Ed, moved from Calgary to St. Albert in 2000 in order to be near family. She has 2 children, 5 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Norma joined the St. Albert 50+ Club in 2010 where she enjoys bridge and fellowship.
Norma is an active member of the Esso Annuitant Club of Edmonton, St. Albert Newcomers Alumni and the Desk and Derrick Club of Edmonton. She has held executive positions with all the clubs.
